1. The task comes with the fear of fighting for it and the fear of taking responsibility.

When the task comes, your are quite contradictory, on the one hand, that you have the ability to competent, if you take the initiative to fight for a bit, should have a good development; but on the other hand, you are retreating, do not dare to fight, but also afraid to assume responsibility.

The relationship between superiors and subordinates increased the pressure on us, and in an atmosphere that lacked encouragement, it was safer for most of us to work step by step than to “fight” and “take on”.

2. Fear of competition will destroy the relationship between colleagues.

Inevitably, you will face competition at work, but to avoid conflict with colleagues, many people will give up competition to maintain relationships. Especially women are afraid of winning the competition, losing their friends.

However, by giving up the chance of legitimate competition, not only are you giving up the possibility of growth, but also you may not be able to gain friendships.

3.Lack of encouraging atmosphere to challenge oneself.

In a workplace atmosphere that lacks encouragement, we may not be supported when we do the right thing, but we may be criticized when we do the wrong thing. The cost and risk of trying to change discourages people from challenging themselves.

4. Afraid to express your true feelings and demands.

In the workplace, most of us is afraid of offending people and being evaluated by others, and we don’t dare to express our real thoughts. Especially in the face of superiors, we dare not voice our reasonable demands, and we keep their mouths shut about issues such as the salary raise and promotion.

In the face of these problems, you can try the following methods:

1. Dare to show yourself and strive for it.

Self-validation is a very important power that can help us autonomously confirm our own value and strength. — Karyn Hall

2. From the fear of competition destroying “friendships” to taking personal responsibility.

In the face of competition, we need to get our mindset right, identify our needs, and respect our ideas. If you want to express yourself and improve your capabilities, you need to take responsibility for making a difference.

3. The courage to express your true feelings, not only to let people feel your sincerity, but also for your own development opportunities.

It is widely believed that survival in the workplace places more emphasis on protecting oneself. But when people start to get defensive and don’t dare to express their true self, the workplace atmosphere will become closed and tense.

In fact, only if you dare to express your demands and ideas, and be your true self, can you get a better chance of development in the workplace. Of course, in this process, support from superiors is also very important.

Finally, I’d like to say that if you’ve encountered a bottleneck in your current job development, a change of environment may provide a turnaround.

When we encounter difficulties in the workplace, we often feel that we are trapped in the middle of it, and we don’t see any opportunity to turn things around, we don’t dare to resign, and we seem to be reluctant to continue working. But we can look at our lives as a timeline, and when you analyze your career troubles in the context of the longevity of your life, you’ll see that they are small and subtle. And we have the power to change.

Hope your work can make your life more meaningful!
